Soil Preparation: Can be planted in almost any soil type - Add manure to enrich soil.
Planting Method: Plant cuttings at a 30-45 degree angle 50cm apart in rows. Ensure that one node of the cutting is underground for strong root growth.
Watering: Regular watering during the first 3-4 weeks helps roots establish, after that, Napier grass is moderately drought-tolerant. (More water-faster growth)
Composting: Apply manure after every grazing or cut.
Harvesting: First cut at 90 to 120 days after planting. Subsequent cuts every 45-60 days.
